"Earth's Basement Dwellers"

Films: The Slime People (1963)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized Area/Underground

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Fog is irritating for many people. Car drivers, average passersby's, and those afraid of potential conquerors. Just ask the people who had to deal with the Slime People.

History: A subterranean group of degenerates, the Slime People somehow managed to build a machine that generates large amounts of fog so that no one can see them, and so that it feels a bit more like home on the surface. And somehow, despite carrying nothing more than spears, they have proven quite successful in their takeover's beginning.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: The remaining humans in L.A. manage to create a machine of their own that generates sodium chloride, causing the fog to diminish and the Slime People to retreat back whence they came.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Cannot stand table salt.

Scariness Factor: 2-How these guys were so successful is a mystery to us. They look dumpy and bored, and their weaknesses would get them laughed at and potentially wiped out in the real world.

Trivia: -They say that when the casting call was on, people were hired solely for their looks rather than talent. Rather shallow, that.

-Originally, there were going to be creatures in this film called Voles that were domesticated by the slime people, but this was cut out for reasons unknown. Probably because voles are cute little mammals in real life.

I'd rather keep my ear clear!

"Um...did we win? Already?"
Comes a very bored looking Slime person!

"Is there something on my face?"

At least they brought their own tools to compensate.
A bit gritty for a film like this.

"I can't see! I TOLD you covering this human area in fog was a bad idea!"
